Fans have reacted to coach Deion Sanders' hires as he revamps his coaching staff for the upcoming season. This will be the first campaign without his sons Shedeur and Shilo and two-way star Travis Hunter. The Buffs had a team meeting at Champions Center for the first time without their star players, who are preparing for the upcoming NFL draft.

During the meeting, Deion Sanders announced that Andreu Swasey is joining the Colorado Buffaloes as the head of the strength and conditioning program.

Swasey spent the last 15 seasons as the S&C coach of the Miami Hurricanes. He has built quite a reputation for himself and is well-respected in the college football coaching scene.

However, fans shared divided opinions on Deion Sanders' new hire. One said that this is big news for the program's overall development.

"This is unbelievably big"

Another commented that Andreu Swasey isn't a great hire for the Buffs:

"He is a TERRIBLE COACH"

One fan has faith in Swasey's abilities to help players improve in Colorado, though:

"After first listening to him I thought he was a little over the top with his speech, but as he continued, I realized that he was the real deal. Very good hire."

Another fan commented about how Swasey has built a legacy with the Miami Hurricanes:

"He is a legend in UM (Miami), great hire. The UM ballers (1999-2006) from the NFL would come back to campus to train with him."

One fan said that Swasey apparently didn't have certifications, which led him to be fired from the Miami Hurricanes:

"Got ran out of Miami because he didn't have certifications to even be allowed in an NCAA weight room at that time lol"

One fan said that Swasey will have to prove his worth in the program:

"Words are words until he proves and shows us all he's for real. We know what last year's squad looked like before and after. He will have to match or improve on last year's conditioning & strength. I'm just saying. Words don't mean s**t unless we can see the change. PERIOD."

Apart from Andreu Swasey, Deion Sanders is keeping the rest of the strength and conditioning staff intact. Ex-head of the S&C department Maurice Sims is transitioning into the position of director of sports performance.

CFB insider shares take on Deion Sanders' Buffs future after exit of star players

in the upcoming season, Coach Prime will be leading a team that won't include his sons and Travis Hunter. Many believe that a part of Sanders' success in Boulder was because of the talent he had on the roster.

With Shedeur, Shilo and Travis Hunter declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft, many are questioning if Deion Sanders can keep the Buffs successful on the field.

CFB insider JD Pickell, though, has his faith in Coach Prime's abilities and believes that he can continue this impressive form without his star players.

"I think they can," Pickell said. "And the reason why I feel that way is because of who Deion Sanders is... We don't have any reason in a two year sample size to believe that he is not going to have a roster to compete for what they want to compete for," (TS-1:18)

One of the main issues Coach Prime would have had was to find a suitable replacement for Shedeur Sanders. However, with the commitment of five-star prospect Julian 'JuJu' Lewis and the transfer of ex-Liberty QB Kaidon Salter, Sanders can focus on building the rest of his roster.

It will be interesting to see if they can compete for the conference title and a playoff spot next season.
