The Michigan Wolverines pulled off a stunning 13-10 victory over the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes (10-2, 7-2, Big 10) in the 120th edition of "The Game" on Saturday. However, the drama didn’t end when the clock hit zero.

A postgame brawl at Ohio Stadium in Columbus escalated to the point where police used pepper spray to control the chaos.

The trouble began when Michigan’s defensive end Derrick Moore tried planting the Wolverines' flag on the field. This ignited tensions with Ohio State players.

Tempers flared, punches were thrown between players, and police intervened with pepper spray, which affected several Michigan players.

The incident sparked a flurry of reactions on X, with one fan saying,

"Pepper sprayed. What a terrible look for everyone involved. Embarrassing"

A couple of fans pointed out that it seemed like the Michigan players were the ones who got pepper sprayed.

"Notice the bitch a** ohio police on the Michigan players only," said another.
One X user commented, "How many ohio st players were pepper sprayed. I usually go to bat for the police, but this is bad."

Meanwhile, a few fans were still able to make jokes about the incident.

One fan joked, "Maybe Ohio State should've done that before the game? They might've had a chance to win"
Another quipped, "It’s no surprise they say "Only in Ohio"
"Guess you could say that they’re “Blue and Maced”! 😂😂😂😂😂😎," tweeted one more, a play on Michigan's Blue and Maize.

The chaos overshadowed Michigan's impressive fourth consecutive win over their bitter rivals. Their dominance in this historic rivalry continues for another year.

Michigan RB slams 'classless' postgame scuffle

Michigan pulled off a major upset over Ryan Day’s Buckeyes. Dominic Zvada came up clutch with a 21-yard field goal in the final 45 seconds. The unranked Wolverines ended their season on a high note while dashing the Buckeyes’ hopes of returning to the Big Ten title game.

However, the fight between Michigan and Ohio State players ended a terrific game with a sad end. It prompted law enforcement officers to deploy pepper spray. An Ohio State spokesperson confirmed the involvement of officers from multiple agencies who used pepper spray to break up the brawl.

Michigan running back Kalel Mullings criticized the chaos, calling it "classless." He said,

“For such a great game, you hate to see stuff like that after the game. Just bad for the sport, bad for college football. But at the end of the day, some people got to learn how to lose, man. Can't be fighting and stuff just because you lost a game.”

Ohio State now faces an investigation into the matter.
