This week, the second round of the College Football Playoff has happened. One of the highly anticipated games is the Fiesta Bowl, between the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Boise State Broncos.
As with every Fiesta Bowl game, it will be played in Arizona, with State Farm Stadium, the home of the Arizona Cardinals, being the battlefield for the two teams.
However, several fans are unhappy with the location of the game. These fans have taken to social media to criticize the stadium.
"Terrible Stadium. Should be at Sun Devil Stadium instead of this Corporate Dump of a stadium," a fan said.
"You aren't wrong. There’s no character inside that place," another fan said.
"Top 20 worst place in America to see a football game," another wrote.
However, this fan is happy that the field is not embracing a unique part of Boise State's stadium.
"At least the turf is not blue. I've never been able to watch those games, it's just too much to process," the fan said.
Another fan liked the freshly-coated stadium.
"LOOKS DOPE IGNORE THESE Comment CLOWNS AVA. nice job 💯💯💯," the fan wrote.
Finally, this fan wants to see an iconic sponsor return to the Fiesta Bowl.
"Bring back this fitting sponsor and legendary field painted logo," another fan wrote.
Fiesta Bowl preview
The game between the Boise State Broncos and the Penn State Nittany Lions will be the biggest game that either team has played all season long. The winner will then be one more win away from playing in the national championship game.
Penn State has already made its first appearance in the College Football Playoff this year. In the first round, the Nittany Lions were able to defeat the SMU Mustangs at Beaver Stadium easily.
However, this year's Fiesta Bowl will be the first time that college football fans will see the Broncos in nearly a month. They won their spot in the CFP, being the highest-ranked "Group of Five" school, having won the Mountain West Conference.
Additionally, the Broncos were one of the top four ranked conference champions, meaning that they received a first round bye. Whether this may help or hinder the Broncos will only be revealed when the game is happening.
The Fiesta Bowl will also be the first time that we will see star running back Ashton Jeanty since he lost the Heisman Trophy to Travis Hunter. To many, Jeanty is the rightful owner of the Heisman and is likely to be highly motivated to prove himself worthy of the award by putting in a strong performance against Penn State.
