Texas Insider has crystal clear response to growing Quinn Ewers & Arch Manning's transfer rumors ahead of Clemson game

Quinn Ewers or Arch Manning is the question Texas Longhorns fans are asking as the 2024 college football season reaches the playoff. Coach Steve Sarkisian won't be interested in losing out on the highly talented Manning just to hold on to Ewers for one more year if the upperclassman doesn't declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.

However, rumors are circulating Manning could transfer from the Longhorns if Ewers stays. CFB insider CJ Vogel replied to a user who asked about Ewers using transfer rumors to increase his draft stock. Vogel did nothing but throw his hat. The panel burst into laughter before another asked Vogel:

"Is Arch transferring too?"

Quinn Ewers' cryptic reply over future

The prevailing thought was Ewers would declare for the draft to clear the way for Manning to take over. However, when asked about plans after the season, Ewers said:

“I’m just trying to win these games. I’m not sure yet. I haven’t thought about anything beyond that.”

Quarterback concerns of the Longhorns has been a long-standing debate this season, and Ewers' indecision becomes the latest addition. It raises concerns about the future for Manning, who could be tired of waiting in the wings when the season ends. Texas HC Steve Sarkisian addressed the situation.

“I just tell them all, focus on what we're doing right now. The best thing they can do for their future, whether they decide to stay or leave, is to play really good in the College Football Playoff because those will be the games that will get evaluated by the NFL anyway.”

Ewers' draft stock hasn’t risen like the 22-year-old would have liked. Injuries and inconsistent play have hurt his draft stock, although he's still expected to be taken relatively early if he does declare.
