The Texas State Bobcats play at UFCU Stadium, which has a capacity of 30,000. It is one of the smaller college football stadiums when compared to the behemoths that are normally associated with the sport, but UFCU Stadium is featured in EA Sports' "College Football 25" along with the bigger venues.

UFCU Stadium was missing its second deck when the video game was released on July 19; however, that has been rectified in the most recent update to the game released on Thursday. Per a post shared to X, formerly known as Twitter, by user @ohhhthatsMari:

The update will mean that fans of the Bobcats, as well as their Sun Belt Conference rivals, can play in a stadium that comes close to what the actual UFCU Stadium looks like. In May 2024, University Federal Credit Union (UFCU) purchased the naming rights to the stadium, formerly known as Bobcat Stadium.

The Texas State Bobcats are coming off of a successful season. While they were unable to make the conference title game, they were strong enough to have a seven-win season, putting them in second place in the Sun Belt Conference's West Division.

They played in the First Responder Bowl, where they defeated the Rice Owls, 45-21. Fans are hoping the Bobcats can improve upon their 2023 season.

What other updates have been made to "College Football 25?"

As well as the Texas State stadium update, EA has released many other updates to "College Football 25."

In addition to the Bobcats' stadium update, these teams were also given stadium improvements:

  • Kansas
  • Kennesaw State
  • Oklahoma State
  • Wake Forest
  • UL-Monroe
  • Nebraska

Additionally, the developers have made numerous changes to the gameplay, especially to minor issues during play that fans have been noticing. For example, the stamina of the quarterback when they are scrambling behind the line of scrimage will now drain quicker than it did before.

Finally, there have been changes to dynasty mode. They include a new college football playoff screen, and conference strength now factors into what rank the player's selected team is placed in the poll.

Changes were also made to the game's generic FBS (division I-A) schools. These changes are mentioned in the press release by EA on these updates:

"Discovered that FCS SE, MW, and NW were secretly using professional players and passing them off as collegiate players. Gave them sanctions and ensured they are now using properly-rated players."

This is EA's response to the claims that the FCS (division I-AA) teams in the game are too powerful to realistically be an FCS team. In reality, these teams should be easily defeated by many FBS college football programs. The strengths have been adjusted for more realistic play.
