UL Monroe welcomed Sun Belt rival Texas State to the JPS Field at Malone Stadium on Saturday. For both teams, it was a crucial encounter in the bid to secure bowl eligibility.

The Bobcats fell to the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns in a 23-17 defeat during their most recent game and are looking to bounce back in Week 11. The Warhawks, on the other hand, also experienced defeat in the previous week, suffering a disappointing 28-23 road loss to Marshall.

Texas State entered the game as an 8-point favorite on the spread, boasting a good level of confidence. The Bobcats have secured victory in three of the seven games where they were favored this season, giving them a 42.9% success rate.

Meanwhile, UL Monroe has been the underdog in six matchups this year, winning half of those contests. This brings in different dimensions to the Week 11 matchup.
