The Texas Tech Red Raiders have unveiled their new apparel deal. The school has inked a 10-year deal with Adidas, in collaboration with former Red Raider and current NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The school announced the partnership with Addidas and Mahomes, as both logos will be on the football field. Meanwhile, Addidas become the official footwear, uniform, apparel, and accessory partner for the Red Raiders effective July 1.

According to SI, Adidas and Mahomes are releasing co-branded apparel featuring Mahomes' signature Gladiator logo, which will be the first time that an athlete's official logo will be featured on official collegiate apparel.
"I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for Texas Tech and I'm proud to have helped bring Red Raider Nation into the three-stripe fam," Mahomes said (per Sports Illustrated). "Today is just the beginning of an incredible partnership with Adidas, so stay tuned for more to come this fall that we're excited to be working on together!"
Details about new uniforms will be unveiled in the coming months.
Texas Tech AD calls the agreement a monumental day
Texas Tech Red Raiders athletic director Kirby Hocutt says the agreement with Addidas and Patrick Mahomes is a monumental day.
"This is a monumental day as we align the power of Texas Tech Athletics with a global brand like Adidas and a generational athlete like Patrick Mahomes, a proud Texas Tech alum," said Hocutt (per Sports Illustrated).
"We are excited to begin a special 10-year partnership with a brand that shares Texas Tech's expectations of success and competition. This collaboration will elevate the Texas Tech brand nationally, providing our student-athletes with the best apparel and equipment. As a new era of the Big 12 begins, this partnership is essential for Texas Tech Athletics to compete at the highest levels."
Mahomes played for Texas Tech from 2014 to 2016 and in his three seasons he threw for 11,252 yards, 93 touchdowns and 29 interceptions.
Fans can purchase select licensed Texas Tech apparel online and at retail stores starting July 1.
As for their football team, Red Raiders will begin their season with a clash against Abilene Christian Wildcats on August 31
