The Texas Tech Red Raiders cruised to a blowout win in Week 3 over the North Texas Mean Green. Texas Tech dominated from the jump, defeating North Texas 66-21.

The Red Raiders got out to a fast start and carried a 52-7 win into the half. Texas Tech was led by Behren Moton, who tossed four touchdowns in the big win.
Texas Tech bounced back after a tough loss at the hands of Washington State in Week 2. The Red Raiders made their first true statement of the season after a close call versus Abilene Christian in Week 1.
Texas Tech led by just 10 at the end of the first quarter, with the score at 17-7. The Red Raiders went on to post 35 unanswered points in the second quarter. Texas Tech sent the reserves out in the second half and rode their 52-7 lead into the 66-21 win.
Tech forced three interceptions in their strongest defensive display of the season thus far. The Red Raiders offense also outgained North Texas in total yards, 586 to 353.
