Eli Manning is a New York Giants legend and a likely hall of fame quarterback. Manning, who has a net value of $160 million, according to celebritynetworth.com, joined X (formally Twitter) after his retirement. Since then, fans have been able to see a different side to the quarterback, who has also given X users an inside look into the first family of football.
Manning gave fans one of those inside looks on Saturday, when he posted about something that his father (Archie Manning) does when he messages his son.
"Thank goodness my Dad writes his name after he sends me a text. -Eli," Manning wrote on X.
"FYI- Riley Leonard and Will Howard were roommates at the Manning Passing Academy last summer- Archie," Archie Manning's message to his son read.
The Manning Passing Academy is the annual clinic for college football quarterbacks. Every year, many top quarterbacks descend on Louisiana for four days to develop their abilities.
It is no surprise that Howard and Leonard attended the Manning Passing Academy. They are both leading two top programs and have been able to take them to the national championship game. Next week, the pair, who were roommates at the Manning Passing Academy, will face-off on the field for the title of national champion.
Could Eli Manning become a minority owner of the New York Giants?
Earlier this week, Eli Manning stated that he would be interested in taking up an ownership stake in the New York Giants.
Manning was speaking to Alex Sherman from CNBS Sports and said:
“It’s definitely something of interest. There’s probably only one team I’d be interested in pursuing, and it’s the one I played for 16 years, and it’s local and makes the most sense, but we just got to figure out if they would ever sell a little bit."
The current owners of the New York Giants, John Mara and Steve Tisch, have been criticized by fans for the way they have been running the team. Some fans even rented airplanes, and had them fly over MetLife stadium, with messages telling the current owners to sell the team.
