Quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter helped the Colorado Buffaloes have one of their best seasons in years. They are now preparing for the 2025 NFL draft, where both are expected to be among the top five picks.
The final week of the NFL regular season concluded this past weekend, and as a result, the draft order is set. The Tennessee Titans will draft first, followed by the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants.
DNVR Sports released an episode of its podcast on Thursday. Host Andre Simone talked about where the two Colorado Buffaloes stars could get drafted and where they should want to go. He suggested that the Giants are a good landing spot for Shedeur Sanders:
"I think the Giants seem like a really good situation for Shedeur, especially the relationship with (Malik) Nabers," Simone said (2:30). "I think the continuity with (Brian) Daboll and the front office is appealing. Andrew Thomas. I mean potentially you have your franchise left tackle and franchise number one wide receiver and a pretty good play caller at least, locked in.
"I don't know that (Brian) Callahan and the Titans have the same appeal, and the Browns are an absolute train wreck. I wouldn't let any of my loved ones or friends near that situation. Yeah, that is just a disastrous situation. You do have a very good playcaller in Kevin Stefanski. Everything else, though..."
Historically, the Cleveland Browns have been one of the worst organizations in the NFL. As a result, it is not surprising to see these Colorado-based analysts want Hunter and Sanders to avoid them in the draft.
Giants could be a landing spot for Shedeur Sanders; Patriots or Jaguars make sense for Travis Hunter
After a Heisman Trophy-winning season from Travis Hunter and a stellar year from Shedeur Sanders, both players are projected to be top picks in the draft. Either of them could be selected first overall, and it would not be a shock.
Shedeur Sanders is viewed as one of the two best quarterbacks in the draft alongside Miami's Cam Ward. There have been several rumors over the past few months that the New York Giants could be a landing spot for him. They have the third overall pick.
For Hunter, he is an option for any team that does not need a quarterback. The Titans, Giants and Browns could all use a young quarterback. So, there is a chance Hunter could fall to the New England Patriots or Jacksonville Jaguars in the fourth or fifth pick.
