The Georgia Bulldogs under coach Kirby Smart won perhaps the biggest game of the college football season with a comprehensive 30-15 win over the Texas Longhorns in Week 8 of college football action.

The Bulldogs' defense dominated the game from start to finish and Georgia led 23-0 at halftime.

During Monday's episode of "Josh Pate's College Football Show," Josh Pate hyped up the Georgia coach for the win and declared that he was worth the $13 million that he is paid annually (as per ESPN) by the Bulldogs.

"Kirby Smart is paid $13 million a year and there are folks out there who say, 'Why should he make more than school teachers?' and there are other folks out there who say, 'Man, if you can deliver this kind of stuff, then you're probably still underpaid,'" Pate said.
"I'm telling you, the differentiator between guys who are making $45,000 a year whose names you don't know and guys who are making $13 million a year in many cases is not the outright X's and O's football knowledge.
"Kirby's got plenty of it. He's forgotten about football at that level than most of us will ever know," he added.

Paul Finebaum compares Kirby Smart to Nick Saban

After the big win in Austin, Kirby Smart was still livid at the controversial call by the referees. During his postgame press conference, he called out the behavior of Texas fans and the ESPN crew for favoring the home team in their predictions.

During Monday's episode of the "Matt Barrie Show," ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum compared Smart to his mentor, retired Alabama Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban for his postgame tirade.

“It reminded me of stuff I’ve heard from Nick Saban,” Finebaum said. “These guys now always want to blame someone. It’s easier that way.
"It’s how they get their players fired up. I mean, remember Georgia two years ago, when they won the title, one of the players on Georgia said, you know, I can’t believe you guys disrespected them.
"Said we’re going 7-5. They were the preseason number one team in the country. But that’s how I remember Alabama last year. The whole thing, that’s the new thing the players and coaches work on. And I mean, it was Kirby was just simply channeling his inner Nick Saban there."

With the win against the Texas Longhorns, Kirby Smart has reestablished the brand value of Georgia Bulldogs in college football. The season is just halfway more to come.
