Travis Hunter and the Colorado Buffaloes have had some impressive wins this season. However, they've also lost two games and the two-way star labeled that Colorado's toughest opponent was Matt Rhule's Nebraska Cornhuskers.
On Monday, Hunter posted a video of him and his teammates, Kaleb Mathis, Jaylen Wester and LaJohntay Wester doing a Buffalo Wild Wings challenge on his YouTube channel. The four Colorado players also discussed the toughest team they faced and after some thought, Hunter said:
"I ain't gonna lie, my answer is definitely Nebraska away. That stadium was rocking. That was the hardest game because of the stadium. That stadium was crazy.
"That was like overall, the toughest stadium to play in. We tried to talk and we couldn't hear anything. They made that difficult and it had to be the toughest cause they're out there playing and like, yeah."
Big Ten's Nebraska beat Colorado 28-10 at Memorial Stadium in Week 2 of the season. It was the first game that the Buffs lost in the season and remains the only stain in their Big 12 record.
Since then, Colorado (6-2, 4-1 Big 12) has bounced back well. The Buffaloes are currently ranked No. 21 by the AP Poll heading into Week 11 and have an outside chance of making it to the College Football Playoff.
Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter is in the running to win Heisman Trophy this season
Travis Hunter is having an excellent season with the Colorado Buffaloes and is in contention to win the Heisman Trophy. As a cornerback, he has tallied 20 total tackles (13 solo tackles), eight passes defended, two interceptions and one forced fumble. He has also posted 757 yards on 60 receptions and caught eight touchdowns while playing in every game for the Buffs.
If Hunter wants to win the Heisman this season, he needs to continue his impressive run heading into the final stages of the regular season.
Here's a look at Colorado's schedule for the remaining weeks of the 2024 regular season:
- Nov. 9: at Texas Tech
