Deion Sanders and his Colorado team have only one goal for the upcoming Alamo Bowl game against BYU, and that's to get a win. The Buffaloes are scheduled to square up with the Cougars on Saturday night at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

Both teams missed out on the Big 12 championship game on tiebreakers, losing out to Arizona State and Iowa State. This showcases the level of game fans can expect in the encounter. Coach Prime was clear about his team's ambition for the game on Monday.

“The purpose is to win the game. It's like the main course. You know, there's appetizers and there's a whole lot of other stuff. So we're happy to go through what we need to go through to get to what we need to get to," Sanders said.
"But the young men know what we're here for. We're not here for the festivities. We're not here for all the other things - the tangibles. We're here to win this football game."

If Deion Sanders leads Colorado to a win against BYU on Saturday, it will mark his first bowl game win as a college football coach. The Pro Football Hall of Famer lost the Celebration Bowl twice during his time at Jackson State.

Deion Sanders will have his top players in the lineup

In an age where bowl game opt-out has become a popular tradition among draft prospects, Deion Sanders is setting the standard with his players. All of his top players, including Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders, will be available for the game.

The coach made the confirmation earlier this month, showcasing some level of discipline he's imbibed into the player. This is bound to make the bowl game highly anticipated for fans.

"We have a plethora of seniors that are pro-bound and guess what, every single one of them is going to play," Sanders said after the bowl schedule was announced early in December. "We don't tap out. We don't sit out.
“We have a kid that's probably, not probably, as a matter of fact he's going to pick up the Heisman trophy this week and he is going to play. We've got a quarterback who picked up an award last weekend, and he is going to play. We have receivers that I know are going pro, and guess what, they're going to play.”

Although ranked lower at No. 23 nationally, the Buffaloes are entering the game as four-point favorites against the No. 17 Cougars. Without a doubt, the availability of Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders is a big edge for Deion Sanders’ team in the encounter.
