One of Deion Sanders' goals this offseason is to ensure that his sons secure a good landing spot in the 2025 NFL draft. After playing under him for four seasons at Jackson State and Colorado, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders are set to transition to the professional stage next year.

The spotlight is on Shedeur, who's expected to be a top-five pick in the draft. The quarterback is projected to be the first in his position to go off the draft board, making him a coveted pick.

Deion Sanders discussed Shedeur's draft possibilities with Rich Eisen on Friday. When asked about Shedeur’s potential landing spot, the Pro Football Hall of Famer named two teams.

“The Raiders and the Giants,” Sanders said on “The Rich Eisen Show.” “These two probably. If he's going right now, that's where he's going to go.”

Shedeur wants to be a higher draft pick than Deion Sanders

While Deion Sanders said that there's no certainty on where Shedeur could eventually land, he disclosed what the quarterback's go look like. Citing what he heard on his “2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders” podcast, Coach Prime noted that Shedeur wants to get drafted higher than his father.

Deion was drafted as the fifth overall pick in the 1989 NFL draft by the Atlanta Falcons. Shedeur needs to see his name get called by Roger Gooddell among the first four to become the highest-drafted Sanders.

“I just saw that his goal is to go before I did," Sanders said on the Rich Eisen Show (timestamp ).
"And he's going to eclipse that because I was a fifth pick, he's certainly going to be one or two or whatever he's going to be. That's what he wants, he never told me that, but that's what he wants.

Deion Sanders denies any package deal

Deion Sanders confirmed to Rich Eisen that he hasn't engaged in any discussions with NFL teams regarding the possibility of joining the same organization as his son. The rumors of Shedeur luring him to the NFL have been around over the last few months.

"I have not spoken to anyone about a package deal or anyone about a deal, period," Sanders said on “The Rich Eisen Show.” "I have one of the best, if not the best, AD in the country in Rick George, and I'm confident that we're going to get something done.”

Despite the NFL links, Sanders has reinstated his commitment to remaining at Colorado over the past couple of weeks. The coach is starting to build something significant in Boulder and isn't abandoning that for an NFL job just yet.
