Travis Hunter is one of the key players on the Colorado Buffaloes roster. He is a dual-position player, playing both as a wide receiver and a cornerback.

In Week 2, the Buffaloes were defeated by the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Hunter also had an outburst during the Cornhuskers' dominant victory while on the sidelines.

The game featured numerous players, including both Sanders brothers who suffered injuries of varying degrees. Now, some people are concerned that Hunter could also get injured and join his teammates on the injury list.

This includes sports journalist Jason Whitlock, who spoke about Hunter during Monday's episode of "Fearless with Jason Whitlock."

"[13:40] The more snaps he plays, the more likely he is going to get injured in college and diminish his professional value," Whitlock said.

Hunter has been one of college football's most entertaining players to watch and playing two positions is a big reason why. On offense, he could have a 40-yard catch for a touchdown, then on defense, he can make a game-winning tackle.

However, this does mean that Hunter plays more snaps than most of his teammates. In this young season, Hunter has already been involved in 126 snaps before the game against the Cornhuskers. This is far more than anyone else on his team, and by playing all of these snaps, the chance of getting injured increases.

Hunter is one of the Buffaloes' top receivers. In the two games played this season, he has recorded 242 yards and scored three touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, he already has six tackles.

A Travis Hunter injury affects him and the whole team

If Hunter were to get injured, it would have massive ramifications for him and the Buffaloes.

Without him, the team will lose its best and most talented wide receiver.

While they do have other skilled players on the roster, with Jimmy Horn Jr. being the most notable, the absence of Hunter will create problems in the offense which may become overly reliant on QB Shedeur Sanders, who himself suffered a minor injury in the Cornhuskers game.

An injury to Sanders will also have a detrimental effect on his draft prospects.

According to NFL Draft Buzz, Hunter is projected to be a top-five pick next year, with The Draft Network also expecting him to be selected in the first round.

An injury to Hunter will mean that this status of being a definite first round pick, maybe even a top-three pick, will be in doubt.
