Black uniforms are fast becoming mainstream in the world of college football and Miami is joining the bandwagon. The Hurricanes released an all-black Adidas uniform on Wednesday for the 2024 college football season, adding to the colors released earlier on Tuesday.

Known for its unique colors in the world of college football, Miami unveiled its 2024 season uniforms. In a video shot on the program's practice field, different combinations could be seen, including the usual colors; white, orange and green.

The addition of the all-black uniform brings a new dimension to the appearance of the team. The new uniform led to some reactions from fans, with many welcoming the idea of the new color. Here’s a look at some of the responses.

Other reactions to the uniform were a mixed bag:

"Best Miami Nights so far," a fan wrote.
"Much better!!!" another said.
"I hope we break the curse with these this year," a fan commented.

A huge season ahead for Miami

Mario Cristobal enters his third season at Miami and there are a lot of expectations. The coach will be having his best roster since arriving at the program. There will be an expectation for him to take the Hurricanes back to the pinnacle.

Considering their relatively easy schedule, many analysts see the program having a successful season in 2024. Joel Klatt believes they could be 7-0 when they face Florida State.

“7-6 a year ago and yet here comes Cam Ward and they come in and they’ve recruited at a very high level,” Klatt said in June. “So that makes me want to go to the schedule. OK, what does their schedule look like? Manageable. Manageable. They could be 7-0 when they face FSU. In fact, likelihood [is] that they’re 7-0.”

Mario Cristobal knows what the expectations are

Mario Cristobal is aware of the expectations from Miami ahead of the 2024 college football season. He’s made it known that there’s a lot of work to ensure success in the upcoming season.

“I know what Miami is and should be," Cristobal said to Late Kick host Josh Pate earlier this year. "I was a very fortunate young man to be a part of it. And so when you're at a distance and fortunate to have success at other places, it hurts you. It does.
“We're finally like, 'Enough is enough.' We're only on this Earth one time and just could not go to the grave without getting back to Miami and being a part of making Miami what it should always be.”

Cristobal currently holds a 12-13 record at Miami. However, this is expected to significantly improve next season.
