Becky Skattebo, mother of Arizona State Sun Devils running back Cam Skattebo, was impressed with the team's never-die attitude.

The Sun Devils played Texas in the Peach Bowl in the quarterfinals of the college football playoff on Wednesday. ASU got down 17-3 at the half and was down 16 points in the fourth.

Yet, the Sun Devils rallied to force double OT but lost 39-31 as ASU's Cinderella run came to an end. After the game, Becky Skattebo praised the team for their incredible run.

She posted on Thursday,

"Such a crazy game. SO PROUD of him and his whole team. They proved why they deserved to be there. They don't quit! He put everything he had into that game and I'll always feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to join the Sundevil Nation," Becky wrote on X.

Despite the loss, Cam Skattebo was a key reason why Arizona State forced OT. Skattebo threw for a touchdown while rushing for 143 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also caught 8 passes for 99 yards.

It was a dominant performance from Skattebo, who was also named Peach Bowl MVP. The star running back also helped boost his NFL draft stock and could be a Day 3 pick.

Arizona State coach praises team after Peach Bowl loss

Following Arizona State's loss to Quinn Ewers and the Texas Longhorns in double OT, Sun Devils coach Kenny Dillingham praised the team.

On Wednesday, Dillingham said this team was special and he was thrilled with the team's success in 2024.

"What an incredible season! Losing sucks! But man I have never been so proud of a group of young men in my entire life! The bonds this team has is old school, and it’s real, these relationships will live on forever! This is a team that truly loves eachother, and watching it first hand is something I will never forget!," Dillingham wrote on X.

Arizona State was predicted to finish last in the Big 12 but the Sun Devils proved everyone wrong. ASU ended up winning the conference to make the college football playoff and nearly upset Texas in the quarterfinals.

Dillingham finished his second year as the coach of Arizona State at 11-3. The Sun Devils went 3-9 in his first season.
