“This is all I have to say”: When Deion Sanders’ ex-wife Pilar Sanders got hilariously roasted by daughter Shelomi Sanders over failed baking trial

Shelomi Sanders had all opportunities to troll her mother, Pilar Sanders, when she tried to bake cinnamon buns and got them burnt in August 2022. It was a summer morning at their home and Pilar’s attempt to cook a delicacy didn't turn out as expected for her.

Following the failed baking attempt, Shelomi Sanders went live on social media to share the news of the failed baking trial with fans in a bid to roast her. Holding the burnt cinnamon buns, she captured her mother in the background while she explained how they got so black.

“This is all I have to say,” Shelomi said “... This morning she decided ‘Oh! I'm going to make some Cinnabons blah blah blah.’ She put the timer on the oven for 20 minutes. She said ‘Oh! I'm going to shower, I'm not going to take a 20-minute shower.” [1:03 mark]

“She came out and what would that look like? Black, black. They're not burnt guys, they're seasoned. We'll say they are seasoned. She has nothing to say right now.”

Pilar Sanders offered full support to Shelomi Sanders’ transfer

Shelomi Sanders left the rest of her family in Colorado and transferred to Alabama A&M in April. The surprising decision was not initially supported by Deion Sanders.

However, Pilar Sanders backed her daughter when she was about to make the difficult decision and motivated her to move. This gave Shelomi the needed push to go on and make the decision.

“You gotta put you first, Lucious,” Pilar Sanders said with a smile in a TikTok video after Shelomi's transfer announcement, alluding to a similar line in the hit TV show Empire. “We’re hitting the road y’all. We love Boulder, CO and thank you. But you gotta put you first, baby. Let’s go.”

Pilar also voiced her support for Shelomi on her Instagram page after her decision to leave Boulder was official. The move saw the guard make a return to the Southwestern Athletic Conference after previously playing at Jackson State.

"So proud of my beautiful babes,” Pilar wrote. “You have the courage, confidence, strength, and character to go anywhere, the drive to be the best and WIN. So happy you're not settlin'."

Shelomi Sanders’ transfer away from Colorado didn't go well with Deion Sanders. The Pro Football Hall of Famer publicly criticized the decision, knowing her ex-wife played a role in the move. The situation was, however, settled amicably within the family subsequently.
