Quinn Ewers is preparing to lead his Texas Longhorns team against the Arizona State Sun Devils in the second round of the College Football Playoff. That game will be played on Wednesday. But, on the day before the game, On3.com reported something on the potential next step of his career.

According to reports, Ewers has been offered $6 million to enter the transfer portal. The team in question which has offered the money has not been named.

But, this has not stopped the college football world from guessing which team it is. Here is a selection of what fans on social media said about this issue.

These fans think that the team in question is the Miami Hurricanes:

"This screams Miami football! Desperate for a QB." This fan said.
"Definitely! i would love Ewers in south beach." Another fan said.
"Miami Miami Miami 😂" A third fan said.

These fans think that Ewers will be heading to the North Carolina Tar Heels, who have recently hired Bill Belichick as their new coach.

"He will be at North Carolina next year." This fan said.
"Gonna be weird seeing him in north Carolina blue next year 🤘" Another fan said.

These fans think that the Oregon Ducks will be his new team:

"Oregon has found their guy!!" This fan said.
"Oregon gonna try to get him so they don’t have to develop a QB, again." Another fan said.
"Ducks!!🦆" A third fan said.

Finally, these fans have mentioned many other teams that may or may not be in the running for Ewers if he were to transfer:

"He’ll be at ND next year!" Said another fan.
"Feeling it’s USC!" A third fan said.
"Ole miss will claim it’s them but we know they poor," This fan said.

Could Quinn Ewers transfer?

As of writing, the future of Quinn Ewers is unknown. He has been the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns since 2022, but they seem committed to Arch Manning next year.

Ewers could declare for the NFL draft. He is likely to stand out in what is an average quarterback class. But, there are not many NFL teams looking for a quarterback in the offseason.

He could use his one year of eligibility to transfer to another school. The Oregon Ducks seem the most likely destination for Ewers.

Recently, the Ducks have developed a reputation of taking almost fully developed quarterbacks instead of trusting the ones they have recruited. We have seen this with Bo Nix and Dillon Gabriel, the latter of whom could lead the team to a national championship.

Bearing this in mind, there is a possibility that Ewers could become the next Oregon star quarterback.
