Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders decided to go on an aquatic adventure for the 4th of July vacation. He booked a cruise to enjoy a relaxing time before the pressure of Colorado's Big 12 reunion starts mounting up. His eldest son, Deion Sanders Jr., believes that Coach Prime was deserving of such a vacation.
Bucky recently posted a video on his channel "Well Of Media" where he gave his viewers a tour of the luxury yacht that Coach Prime booked. The cruise came with its own personal staff and luxury amenities like a hot tub, a master suite, a big deck, and others. He posted the link to the video on X and captioned it:
"THIS WAS MUCH NEEDED for Coach Prime: You Gotta Start LIVING"
Coach Prime took over the Buffs last season after spending three seasons with Jackson State. He led them to two back-to-back SWAC championships before making his debut in Boulder in 2023. Despite a hot start, Colorado could not maintain the momentum and ended the season with a 4-8 overall record, failing to qualify even for the bowl games.
Thus, Sanders got to work in the offseason and started a massive revamp of the roster and his coaching staff. With new talents in the team, he is looking forward to redeeming himself as Colorado returns to the Big 12 conference for the 2024 season.
Deion Sanders is optimistic about the 2024 season for Colorado
While speaking to Joel Klatt on "The Joel Klatt Podcast," Deion Sanders said that things are looking better for the Buffs than last year. He went on to talk about how they have been putting in the dedication and work in the offseason and bringing in new talent to further elevate the program's status.
"I think we're better, not only on the field, we're better off the field, and that's not the insult to the guys that were here the previous year, but I think we got better man. I think I'm better. I think the whole thing is better. And we're not done," Coach Prime said. (26:20)
"We're probably gonna have 10 to 15 more grown men that can help us right now on special teams, as well as offensively and defensively added to this team. Few from high school, several from the portal ... I love where I know we're headed."
Deion Sanders has a lot to prove during the 2024 season. With the new 12-team playoff format in place, it will be interesting to see if he can help the Buffs be a contender for the college football playoffs.
