The Alabama Crimson Tide are in a battle with the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday night in a rematch of the SEC Championship game a year ago. However, injuries are piling up as the Crimson Tide saw defensive lineman Tim Keenan III go down on the field in the Bulldogs touchdown to make the game one possession.
Tim Keenan III has been good on the defensive line for the Crimson Tide this season as he has 15 tackles (six solo, 12 assisted) with 1.5 sacks thus far. When meeting with the assembled media, coach Kalen DeBoer did not mention Keenan III, which seems like a positive sign since he wasn't asked about his status.

How impactful is Tim Keenan III to the Alabama Crimson Tide defense?
The Alabama Crimson Tide have been doing incredibly well throughout the season and Tim Keenan III has been one of the best factors on the defensive side of the field. According to Pro Football Focus, Tim Keenan III has six quarterback pressures this season, which is third in the program this year.
Just because his statistics do not jump off the page as other pass rushers do does not mean that Keenan III is struggling. In fact, he is second for the Crimson Tide in sacks and his 18 total tackles is the most for any defensive lineman for the team. He is significantly involved with how the team does in the trenches when on defense and the pressure he brings to the opposing quarterback makes them rush and make bad decisions with their passes.
He also has shown the ability to put in the work for the defense after only playing in two games over the course of his first two seasons with the Roll Tide. Tim Keenan III has proven the ability to change his body and has become a dominating force on the defensive line to make it one of the top position groups in all of college football.
Having Tim Keenan III on the football field significantly alters how the opposing offense will play as well as how the Crimson Tide defense is going to get into the backfield.
