Despite Beck's lackluster performance, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart instead decided to praise Alabama QB Jalen Milroe. While speaking with ABC, Smart said his team struggled against Milroe and found it difficult to deploy a countermeasure against his plays.

"We've had no answers for Milroe. He's a great athlete-- a phenomenal athlete. We've struggled to tackle him. We don't have the edges. They've done a really good job throwing him out of empty-- and that's been new."

Carson Beck's stats vs Alabama

In the first half of the game against Alabama, Beck put up an underwhelming performance where he had two interceptions to his name. Due to this, the Crimson Tide managed a 30-7 lead in the first half, inching closer to handing Georgia its first loss of the season.

However, in the third quarter, the Georgia QB finally threw his first touchdown of the game when he found Arian Smith with a 12-yard TD pass. Beck scored two more TD passes in the fourth quarter.
