The 2024 college football season is in full swing as the calendar turns to Week 4. There have been several big-time matchups and shocking upsets in the early portion of the season so far. However, that was not the case in Week 3 as the only two ranked teams to lose did so against higher-ranked opponents.

#1. Georgia Bulldogs at Kentucky Wildcats
The then-No.1-ranked Georgia Bulldogs were able to narrowly escape a visit to Lexington, defeating the Kentucky Wildcats 13-12. The matchup was the most viewed game this week, with 6.6 million viewers tuning into ABC.
#2. Alabama Crimson Tide at Wisconsin Badgers
The No.4-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide went on the road and beat the Wisconsin Badgers 42-10. 5.03 million viewers caught the game on FOX.
#3. LSU Tigers at South Carolina Gamecocks
The No.16-ranked LSU Tigers escaped a road matchup against the South Carolina Gamecocks, winning a controversial 36-33 thriller. The game, which aired on ABC, brought in 4.94 million viewers.
#4. Texas A&M Aggies at Florida Gators
The Texas A&M Aggies went into The Swamp and had no trouble taking down the Florida Gators. 4.8 million viewers caught the 33-20 victory on ABC.
#5. Colorado Buffaloes at Colorado State Rams
The Colorado Buffaloes defeated their intrastate rival Colorado State Rams 28-9. CBS aired the game, with 3.25 million viewers tuning in.
#6. Oregon Ducks at Oregon State Beavers
The No.9-ranked Oregon Ducks were able to blowout the Oregon State Beavers in their first matchup since the former left the Pac-12. 2.82 million viewers watched the 49-14 finish on FOX.
#7. Arizona Wildcats at Kansas State Wildcats
The then-No.14-ranked Kansas State Wildcats knocked off the then-No.20-ranked Arizona Wildcats 31-7 as they welcomed their opponents to the Big 12. 2.58 million viewers caught the Friday night matchup on FOX.
#8. Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Purdue Boilermakers
The then-No.18-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish were big winners, beating the Purdue Boilermakers 66-7. 2.28 million caught the matchup on CBS.
#9. Memphis Tigers at Florida State Seminoles
The Memphis Tigers handed the Florida State Seminoles their third consecutive loss to open the season, winning 20-12. ESPN aired the game, with 1.59 million tuning in.
#10. UTSA Roadrunners at Texas Longhorns
The then-No.2-ranked Texas Longhorns beat the UTSA Roadrunners 56-7. 1.48 million viewers watched the game on ESPN.
