Top draft prospect Travis Hunter realizes pre-game routine will suffer due to NFL move

Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter only has one game left with the team. He will go through his pre-game routine one more time when the Buffs take on the No. 17 BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl. Afterward, he will declare for the 2025 NFL draft.

On Thursday, Hunter released his latest vlog where he was interviewed about his pre-game routine. In his response, he talked about what he does and why he will need to find a new routine next season.

"I got to eat Chick-fil-A every morning," Hunter said (comments start at 7:40). "I don't know what I'm going to do next year because we play on Sundays. But I got to eat Chick-fil-A every morning. I wear the same pair of underwear for each game, and that's probably about it. Oh, I got one more, I'm the last person off the bus. Always got to be the last person off the bus, the last person to walk on the field."

With the NFL season still underway, the final draft order has not been determined.

Travis Hunter is widely expected to be a top-five pick, with some pundits even projecting him as the first overall pick. However, where he is drafted will likely depend on which teams hold which spots.

Typically, quarterbacks dominate at the top of the draft. While this is viewed by many scouts as a weak year at the quarterback position, teams like the New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders are still expected to take quarterbacks. So, Hunter's teammate Shedeur Sanders could be in contention to go first overall over him.

Different mock drafts have Travis Hunter going to different teams, but two teams that come up often are the New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars. Both teams have taken quarterbacks high in recent drafts and could be looking for skill-position players as a result.
