ESPN's popular pregame show "College GameDay" is in Columbia for the clash pitting the South Carolina Gamecocks against the LSU Tigers. Week 3 of college football action is light on entertaining fixtures and the SEC matchup is one of the more palatable ones.
South Carolina women's basketball coach Dawn Staley and coach Shane Beamer will both be on the show before the game starts in the Williams-Brice Stadium.
Fans in Columbia had some of the most creative signs during the show, with the following being the most hilarious.

A creative fan on College GameDay could not help but take a dig at LSU Tigers coach Brian Kelly as well.

College GameDay location for Week 3 criticized
The locations chosen during a college football season by "College GameDay" do not always meet with everyone's approval, with the weekend's biggest game usually becoming the spot for the show.
During an episode of "The Matt Barrie Show," ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum was not too enthused by the show's week three location in Columbia.
“I had callers this week from Columbia say, ‘Hey, when do you think we’re gonna get rid of Shane Beamer?’ They were as down on him as they could be; now they have College GD?” Finebaum said.
“Which — I don’t know where that bus was going. Listen, GameDay is great, but the idea that GameDay would go to LSU at South Carolina? I mean, that is one of the more bizarre GameDay choices in its history.”
There aren't many elite clashes during Week 3 of college football action, with perhaps the only notable exception of the Texas A&M Aggies traveling to Gainesville to face off against the Florida Gators.
Paul Finebaum added that College GameDay was originally poised to head to Lexington for the Kentucky Wildcats' clash against the Georgia Bulldogs. However, the plan might have been dropped after Kentucky was soundly beaten 31-6 by South Carolina.
“I was in Lexington on Saturday,” Finebaum said. “In Lexington, all the students were asking me yesterday, because Georgia comes there next week, ‘You think GD will be here?’ GD was going to Lexington … For GD to go to Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, they go every year, sometimes twice; they don’t go to Lexington, but once every 20 years or so.”
The debate about "College GameDay" locations will likely rumble on with college football fans rooting for the beloved pregame show to visit their schools and ignore rival schools.
