In Season 3 of "Coach Prime," which was released on Amazon Prime, this week, we saw Jimmy Horn Jr. appear for his father's sentencing in court. Jimmy Horn Sr. was sentenced to 87.075 months in prison for drug-related charges and the Colorado WR took to the podium to share a few words of gratitude before his father was sent to prison.

Fans were moved by Horn's words and behavior, and took to X to discuss it:

"Tough," said one.

Another fan felt that Jimmy Horn Jr.'s father would make amends after seeing his son be successful as a football player:

"Maybe he can see what his son has done with life and when he gets that second chance, he makes the most out of it. I believe this story will have a happy ending."

Others were emotional or just felt that when he is released his son will be in the NFL:

"Who's cutting onions around me....," one fan said.
"He gone do 4-5 years, he gone be out and his son be making plays in the NFL," another commented.
"His son will have a bag waiting for him when he gets home," another fan said.

Jimmy Horn Jr.'s father raised him as a single dad in Sanford. He worked several jobs, including as a barber and a truck driver, to provide the best for his child. However, he was incarcerated in 2021 for drug-related crimes when the WR was beginning his collegiate career with South Florida, before joining Colorado after two seasons.

Jimmy Horn Jr. once opened up about his last conversation with his father

Last September, the Colorado WR revealed the final conversation he had with his dad before his sentencing. He said that it was a very emotional moment for him and that this situation gave him the motivation to work harder and have a successful football career (via Distractify):

"I was able to talk to him. He's about to get shipped off to the prison, so that was my last time talking to him before...so you know. I just got to go even harder. It just felt good to talk to him, that just pushes me even more. It's a lot of adversity that goes on through life."

Jimmy Horn Jr. has been invited to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine, which will be held from February 27 to March 2. He will get the opportunity to showcase his talents and entice scouts at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis before the draft in April.
