Travis Hunter decided to go to the NFL draft to walk across the stage. Top prospects can choose whether they want to attend the draft or stay home and watch it with family, but a camera will be in their house to catch their reaction.
Hunter is expected to be a top-three pick in the NFL draft. He announced he would attend the draft in Green Bay.
"If I'm the number one pick, I only get to walk that stage one time with a smile on my face ... gots to do it," Hunter said, via NoSkoZone. "First person in my family to do it, oh, I'm definitely doing it."
Fans reacted to Hunter's decision on X.
"Trav said y’all can miss me with the bs , I’m walking that stage," a fan tweeted.
"Glad he doing that," a fan tweeted.
Hunter says he wants to have the memory of walking across the stage and shaking hands with Commissioner Roger Goodell.
"There you go young brotha. I’m hoping Shedur and them change they’re minds too," a fan tweeted.
"I agree with him, that experience is a dream and only can happen once," a fan tweeted.
Hunter's decision comes after Deion Sanders said Travis and Shedeur Sanders would watch the draft together and wouldn't go to Green Bay.
"Exactly Deion stay trying to control everyone," a fan tweeted.
"Trav finally breaking free from the chains. Deion be doing too damn much," a fan tweeted.
"As he should! I’m excited for what SS is doing as well, completely understand why they will be avoiding Green Bay," a fan tweeted.
Hunter has the third-best odds of going first overall at +1200, which implies a 7.7% chance of going first overall.
Deion Sanders claimed Travis Hunter wouldn't attend the draft
Travis Hunter's decision to attend the 2025 NFL Draft is a bit of a surprise.
Deion Sanders informed a few days ago that Shedeur and Travis wouldn't attend the draft as there will be a draft party in Colorado.
“You won't see us (at the draft),” Deion said during a recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, via Athlon Sports. “We're good man. [Shedeur and Hunter] want to celebrate with our people, with our folks, with our wonderful student body."
However, Hunter appears to be going against Sanders' decision and will be attending the draft in Green Bay.
