Travis Hunter has a clear favorite for his Heisman Moment from historic junior season

Travis Hunter gave college football fans one of the most entertaining single-season performances of all time, winning the 2024 Heisman Trophy. In a season so memorable, it can be difficult to pinpoint one memory above the rest, but not for Hunter.

On Thursday, Hunter recalled his favorite moment during his Heisman campaign.

"My Heisman moment is definitely the Baylor game," he said. "Forcing that fumble means a lot, cause you don't see a receiver forcing the fumble on the defensive side of the ball and you definitely don't see a corner forcing a fumble on the defensive side of the ball to end the game, so that definitely was one of my Heisman moments."

Hunter forced a game-sealing fumble versus Baylor on Sep. 21, helping the Buffaloes clinch a 38-31 win. The Bears were driving in overtime, looking to tie the game. At the goal line, Hunter met Baylor running back Dominic Richardson and placed his helmet perfectly on the ball during his tackle to jar the ball loose.

The ball rolled out of the back of the end zone, securing an overtime win for the Buffaloes.

On the defensive side of the ball, he recorded three tackles and his lone forced fumble of the season. As a receiver, Hunter caught seven passes for 130 yards in the victory.

Travis Hunter shone in Alamo Bowl loss

Travis Hunter closed a legendary Heisman campaign with a heoric performance versus BYU in the Alamo Bowl. Colorado suffered a 36-14 blowout loss in the final game of the season, but Hunter mustered a fitting end to a historic collegiate career.

In his final college game, Hunter caught four passes for 106 of Shedeur Sanders' 208 passing yards, with a receiving touchdown. He ended his Heisman campaign with 96 receptions for 1,258 yards and 16 total touchdowns offensively, and 36 tackles, 11 passes defended and four interceptions defensively.

The next stop for Travis Hunter is the NFL, where the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner is projected to come off the board in the first few picks of the 2025 NFL Draft. Hunter's college quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, is also widely projected to be a top-five pick in the draft and is arguably the top quarterback in the class.

Most mock drafts predict Travis Hunter to go with the No. 1 overall pick. The New England Patriots are slated to land the top pick in the draft and could pair the dual threat alongside their franchise quarterback, Drake Maye.
