The buzz around Travis Hunter doesn't seem to stop anytime soon. While his two-way play on the field as a cornerback/wide receiver captured him well, following Week 14, his off-field life, especially his relationship with his fiancee Leanna Lenne, has been questioned.
After several videos of Lenne dancing with another man started circulating among netizens, Hunter, who had grown fed up with the negative attention it brought, decided to quit social media, deactivating both Instagram and TikTok.
On Tuesday, according to a tweet from the Buffaloes fan page, Hunter reactivated his Instagram account briefly before shutting it off again, as things stand at the time of writing.
Meanwhile, both Shedeur and Deion Sanders affirmed that Travis Hunter is in the right space of mind. The 2024 Heisman winner even featured in the 2024 Alamo Bowl against the BYU Cougars, which ended in a 36–14 loss for the Buffaloes.
Hunter caught four receptions for a whopping 106 yards, resulting in a score. On defense, he made four tackles.
This was the last time Hunter would play in a college football game as he had already decided to declare for the 2025 NFL draft. He's expected to get picked inside the first five picks, most probably by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Another video of Travis Hunter and Leanna Lenne arguing comes to the fore
The negative attention on social media concerning Travis Hunter started during the Week 14 game against Oklahoma State, where an image showed Leanna Lenne not for Hunter's hug after the game.
Another instance came during the Heisman Trophy ceremony at Lincoln Center in New York, where while everyone from Hunter's contingent stood up when his name got announced, Lenne seemingly took her time before receiving a pat from Deion Sanders to possibly stand up in recognition.
On Monday, another clip of the couple alleging made it to social media. It showed Hunter being at the receiving end of an argument with Lenne who was on the other side of the fence.
However, Lenne has already provided a defense in her eight-minute TikTok video, where she became emotional while discussing several wrong allegations made against her.
"So the real reason why I was mad is because of the security," Lenne said. "You can ask any of the family members who were actually there—they didn’t want anyone to storm the field. They had 1,000 security people holding everyone back. But the people on the field were like, 'Let the family down, let the family come down.' So everyone was going back and forth." (2:55).
"I was arguing with the security guard because he wouldn’t let any of the family through. But they let the cheerleaders from the opposing team get through the fences. When I finally got down to the field, I told Travis—I had already seen him, already congratulated him, we had already spoken. But when I got on the field, I was upset because I had just finished arguing with someone. What you don’t see in that five-second clip is that it happened right after all of that."
Before all of this, during the season, Travis Hunter told Shedeur Sanders that the couple is planning to get married in May 2025. However, that was all before the current turmoil. Since both Hunter and his fiancee have cut off their connection from followers, there's no telling how their relationship is.
