Travis Hunter has built a strong relationship with Deion Sanders and his family over the years. The bond is so strong that it convinced the two-way star, who was the No. 1 prospect in the class of 2023, to commit to an HBCU Jackson State while he was the team's coach.
Recently, Hunter reacted to a post from Sanders on Instagram involving his three sons. The Colorado standout playfully issued a four-word warning at being left out by the coach and showering love only on his sons.
“Ok one more strike,” Hunter commented with an angry face emoji.

However, Deion Sanders responded by dedicating a post to Travis Hunter on Tuesday. The coach posted a picture of himself with the two-way star during his pregame ritual in the endzone.
Hunter had a hilarious reaction to the post, adding further fun to the series of events.
“Yes I get my own post,” Hunter wrote with a laughing emoji.

Deion Sanders gives an update on Travis Hunter
Deion Sanders provided an update on the injury of Travis Hunter during his media availability on Tuesday. The two-way sensation is on the mend from a shoulder injury and is projected to take on a more significant role in the upcoming game against Cincinnati in Week 9.
After missing the second half of last Saturday’s contest against Arizona in Tucson, Sanders expressed confidence in Hunter’s recovery and readiness to contribute at a higher level. The return of the Heisman hopeful is pivotal for the team, given his impact on both sides of the ball.
"Travis is better than last week," Sanders said. "I think he'll have more productivity because he's feeling much better than last week. As you could just tell with his little giddyup and the way he goes about life, a little more pep in his step today.
"I think he did some conditioning today for sure to make sure he's on point with his conditioning because he never tires and we want to keep that what it is, but I think he will certainly contribute a lot more than he did a week ago because he's healthier."
Travis Hunter sustained a shoulder injury during Colorado's game against Kansas State two weeks ago, which led to him missing the second half of the game. This significantly limited his practice time leading up to the Arizona game and he was only available for a half.
Hunter remains a contender for the Heisman Trophy with his performances this season. He is in the mix of players like Boise State's Ashton Jeanty, Oregon's Dillon Gabriel and Miami’s Cam Ward.
