Travis Hunter once again proved his excellence on the field during Colorado's dominant 52-0 victory over the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Week 14. The Buffs shifted from the Pac-12 to the Big 12 this season. He joined the Buffs last season after transferring from Jackson State along with Deion Sanders and his sons, Shedeur and Shilo.
Hunter has been phenomenal during his second campaign with Colorado. He is also the favorite to win the Heisman and further solidified his case with the performance he put up against Oklahoma State. The two-way star took to social media to showcase his gratitude to his strongest pillar of support, his fiancée, Leanna Lenee.
On Instagram, Travis Hunter shared a post showcasing snippets of him and Leanna Lenne throughout this season. The snippets had a theme of the two-way star posing in his jersey while his fiancée showed off her different game-day outfits.
"Queen," Hunter wrote in the caption
The couple has been together since their high school days. After years of dating, Hunter decided to ask for Leanna Lenne's hand in marriage earlier this year. In February, the Colorado WR/CB announced his engagement to Lenne through a post on social media while also showing off the diamond engagement ring he gave her.
Travis Hunter's fiancée, Leanna Lenee, shows off 'Heisman' outfit for Colorado vs. Oklahoma game
Leanna Lenne has been an avid supporter of her boyfriend's Heisman campaign this season. And like always, she showed up at Folsom Field to showcase her support for Hunter despite the chilling -5°C temperature in Colorado.
Lenne decided to continue supporting Travis Hunter's Heisman campaign while throwing some of her own fashion flair into her gameday outfit for Week 14. In an Instagram story, she can be seen wearing a velvety black jacket and a hat amidst a snowy backdrop. Her jacket also had the word 'Heisman' written with sparkling crystals on the back.
The Colorado two-way star put up 116 yards and three touchdowns receiving on offense and one tackle along with two passes defended and one interception on defense. Even Deion Sanders stated that Hunter has practically won the Heisman after his Week 14 performance.
"Travis clinched the Heisman with his performance," Sanders said." He is the best player in college football. You can find ways to hate, criticize, and condemn him and you won't come out of that looking professional. Travis Hunter proved today, and he's proved every week, that he is the best player in college football."
The finalists for this year's Heisman Award will be announced on December 9 with the winner being crowned during the ceremony on December 14. It will be interesting to see if Hunter can end his collegiate journey with this coveted trophy in his cabinet.
