Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter is one of the top players NFL scouts will keep an eye on. He transferred from Jackson State along with Coach Prime, and his sons Shedeur and Shilo, last season. After winning the Paul Hornung Award last season, Hunter continues to dominate both ways on the field.
During this week's Colorado practice, several scouts from NFL teams were present to evaluate players ahead of the 2025 NFL draft. These scouts were from teams like the Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants, New Orleans Saints and New York Jets.
With Travis Hunter eligible to declare for the 2025 NFL draft, fans took to social media to share their predictions about where the two-way star will end up getting drafted:
"Travis to Ravens confirmed here me out the league gonna be ignorant and say he can't play both ways ravens agree to let him play both ways," one fan said on X/Twitter.
"I don't think Ravens will be high enough to pick him," one fan wrote.
"F**k no please anywhere but the AFC north," one fan added.
"I want Drake Maye to develop this season then the Pats take Hunter. If he goes both ways, he would be WR1 and he and Gonzalez would be a dangerous combo," another fan said.
"Wouldn't be a bad spot for him but they won't draft that high. Harbaugh would be a great coach for him," one fan wrote.
So far in seven games, Hunter has 604 receiving yards and six touchdowns on offense while also tallying 18 tackles with two interceptions and one forced fumble on defense. He is ranked No. 2 in ESPN's midseason Heisman watch behind Boise State WR Ashton Jeanty.
Deion Sanders believes Travis Hunter will have more time on the field against Cincinnati
Hunter had injured himself during Colorado's Week 7 loss to Kansas State. During their recent win against Arizona, the two-way star did not play during the second half of the game to further help in his rehabilitation.
However, coach Deion Sanders provided a positive update on Hunter's injury. He also predicted that Hunter would be an important player on the field against the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday.
"Travis is better than last week," Sanders said via ESPN. "I think he'll have more productivity because he's feeling much better than last week. As you could just tell with his little giddyup and the way he goes about life, a little more pep in his step today."
The Buffs are just one win away from qualifying for bowl games. It will be interesting to see if Hunter can help Colorado to a win over Cincinnati and potentially go on to win the Heisman this season.
