Travis Hunter's fiancee Leanna Lenee drops a 3-word appreciation for her stylist over dazzling Heisman jacket

On December 14, Colorado star Travis Hunter was named the 90th Heisman Trophy winner in a closely contested race against Boise State's Ashton Jeanty.

The ceremony held in New York was not without drama as fans noted that Hunter's fiancee, Leanna Lenee, did not seem as enthusiastic as his other guests, rapper Lil Wayne, Deion and Shedeur Sanders, and his mother Ferrante Edmonds.

Despite the backlash that she has faced from analysts, college football and NFL fans in the past few days, Lenee rallied and dropped an appreciative message on her Instagram stories on Monday aimed at the stylist who designed her "He12man" jacket for the ceremony.

"My literal angel," Lenee wrote.

After the shenanigans of the weekend where his fiancee seemed to be prompted to stand up by Coach Prime when he won the coveted trophy, Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter came to Leanna Lenee's defense once again in a clip posted on his Twitch account on Monday.

“You ain’t never had no girl so why are y’all talking about me,” Travis Hunter said. “Find someone else to talk about. … Go talk about your girl. Go find a girl. Go find a life. Stop worrying about what I got going on. I know what I got.

“Y’all hate on me then you go hate on my girl. I feel the same thing that she feels. We’re inseparable. We’re with each other. If she’s hurting I’m hurting [and vice versa] … she’s still sleeping. She’s numb. You know when you’re hurt you just cry yourself to sleep and you be gone. She’s drunk OD amount tonight for no reason."

Later on Monday, Lenee, who celebrated her birthday two weeks ago, posted a seven-minute clip on TikTok explaining the various events that have led to her being villainized by college football fans.

“When his name was called, I instantly was going to get up — if you watch the video, his mom didn’t get up, so I was like, ‘Oh, maybe I don’t get up, I just sit here,’” Lenee said. “As soon as I seen Travis get up, then I thought it was appropriate to stand up, greet him, congratulate him.

"But then, there was a camera right in front of Coach Prime and I knew they were going to film that moment and because of how people are online, I was like, I don’t want to be in that shot, so I sat down."

Travis Hunter and Leanna Lenee have been fighting a wave of online criticism for weeks now that has almost overshadowed the Colorado star's impressive Heisman Trophy win for an incredible season.
