Travis Hunter has had a season to remember, proving himself as a dominant force on both offense and defense while rarely stepping off the field. The Colorado star, already crowned Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, is also a frontrunner for the prestigious Heisman Trophy, solidifying his place among college football's elite.

On Monday, Hunter’s incredible journey hit another high note as he took home the Lott IMPACT Trophy, awarded to the top defensive player in college football who exemplifies Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community, and Tenacity—values inspired by NFL legend Ronnie Lott.

The recognition didn’t go unnoticed by his fiancée, Leanna Lenee. In a post shared by Hunter on Instagram, Lenee commented:

“#GOAT” with a couple of love emojis.

Meanwhile, "Colorado Football" added trophy emojis to celebrate the achievement.

Hunter edged out finalists Caleb Downs (Ohio State), Nic Scourton (Texas A&M), and Mikail Kamara (Indiana) to claim the honor.

Lenee also reacted to Hunter’s Heisman Trophy finalist announcement on her Instagram story with two heartfelt words:

“God’s plan.”

Travis Hunter, the do-it-all star for the Colorado Buffaloes

Travis Hunter, the do-it-all star for the Colorado Buffaloes, has been named a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, college football’s most prestigious individual honor. Known for his electric play on both sides of the ball, Hunter dominated this season as a wide receiver and cornerback, snagging interceptions and scoring touchdowns with ease.

In November, he broke Colorado’s single-season record for touchdown receptions in a 52-0 victory over the Oklahoma State Cowboys with his 14th score.

Hunter is joined by three other finalists in the Heisman race: Dillon Gabriel (Oregon), Ashton Jeanty (Boise State), and Cam Ward (Miami). The winner will be revealed Saturday in New York City. If Hunter takes home the trophy, he’ll follow in the footsteps of Rashaan Salaam, the last Buffalo to win the award back in 1994.
