Travis Hunter's mother, Ferrante Edmonds, shared a heartwarming message for her son after Colorado's 36–14 loss to BYU in the Alamo Bowl on Saturday. On Tuesday, Edmonds posted a picture of herself and Hunter on Instagram, with a cheerful message for the Heisman Trophy winner.
"I Love You Baby @db3_tip on to the next level. I’m so proud of you," Edmonds captioned the IG post.

Hunter's relationship with his fiancée, Leanna Lenee, has come under scrutiny from fans on social media. It began with a video clip showing an awkward interaction between Hunter and Lenee after Colorado's win against Oklahoma State. The video went viral, and fans criticized Lenee for allegedly trying to be mad at Hunter on his important day.
Then, fans slammed Lenee for not immediately cheering for Hunter after he won the Heisman. Things escalated even further when a music video of Lenee with a SoundCloud rapper surfaced online.

With Colorado's 2024 season concluding, all eyes are on Travis Hunter. Will he be declaring for the 2025 NFL draft? The two-way star is eligible to play one more year at the collegiate level, but many signs suggest he'll be going pro next year.
Hunter finished the 2024 season with 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns on 96 receptions as a wideout. He also rushed for a touchdown.
Hunter posted 35 tackles as a defensive back, of which 24 were solo. He recorded 11 passes defended, four interceptions and one forced fumble.
Many believe Hunter is a top-three pick in the 2025 NFL draft if he decides to go pro next year.
