Travis Hunter praises Leanna Lenee for saving him "lot of money"
Travis Hunter and Leanna Lenee started dating as students at Collins High School in 2020 and have since moved in together. They got engaged in February. During an episode of the "Richard Sherman" podcast, the Heisman contender lavished praise on Lenee for helping him become more financially responsible and the role that she plays in his happiness (13:00).
“NIL space, I mean, I kind of just sit back and relax,” Hunter said. “I mean, I got a fiancée, so she helped me save a lot of money.
“So I'm not out there splurging my money,” he said. "It’s probably just, I do buy a lot of shoes. I probably got like 200 pairs of shoes since like being at Jackson State but shoe ain’t that much. But yeah, I save a lot of my money because I know the next level, man, you already got everything. I got two boats and I want to just play football. And I got a wife. So, I'm just happy with my family right there, so I'm in it."
During an appearance on Colorado teammate Shedeur Sander's "2Legendary" podcast, Hunter revealed his wedding date and the reason why he chose the venue despite the quarterback's offer of holding the ceremony at his dad's house.
"May 24th, next year, bro," Hunter said. "Right, around the rookie minicamp in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It's a good venue, bro. [Leanna] wanted to have a good venue for everybody."
Travis Hunter previously said in an interview with ESPN that he was only focused on playing football, gaming and going back home to his fiancee, Leanna Lenee.
