The Colorado Buffaloes star, Travis Hunter, took a hilarious jab at the Deion Sanders-led squad during a livestream on Sunday. Hunters along with his teammate and Coach Prime's son, Shedeur Sanders, got the chance to play the highly anticipated EA Sports' College Football 25 game.
While enjoying the gameplay and other aspects of the game, Hunter dropped back against Sanders and tried to escape pressure but ended up getting sacked. Seeing the play, a fan commented:
"The O-line is realistic."
The fan insinuated that the blocking was unimpressive. Instead of defending his team, the two-way star agreed with the fan's comment in the following conversation with Shedeur Sanders.
"Yes, very realistic," Hunter said after reading the fan's comment.
"What do you mean," Shedeur Sanders responded.
"Because they can't block for nothing," Hunter said.
The dig could have come out of his frustration with the way the game was going. Fans will definitely be wondering if the playful shot will lead to any awkward conversations with Deion Sanders.
Deion Sanders compared Travis Hunter to college football legends
Travis Hunter is entering his second season at Colorado after transferring from Jackson State along with Shadeur and Shilo Sanders. His impact on the Buffs squad has been immense as he not only showed his ability as a wide receiver but also proved to be a skillful defensive back.
The two-way star's efforts earned him a consensus All-American honor and many praises from fans and critics. He was also compared to two-way stars Charles Woodson and Champ Bailey by his head coach Deion Sanders.
"Colorado HC Deion Sanders on Travis Hunter: “He’s something we haven’t seen in college football. Charles Woodson was HIM, Champ Bailey was HIM, those guys are unbelievable… but (Travis) he’s the best WR in college football and he’s the best CB in college football.”
The Buffs head coach also believes that Hunter and his son Shedeur can also be the top two picks in the 2025 NFL draft. Hunters' draft stock can increase if he helps his team improve upon their 4-8 record from the 2023-24 season.
