The awards have been rolling in for Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders after he led the Buffaloes to a 9-3 regular season record.
On Wednesday, the NFL-bound Sanders bagged the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year award. Then, on Friday, he accepted his Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, which is given to the best quarterback upperclassman in the nation, in a ceremony held in Baltimore.
On Friday, Shedeur's eldest brother, Deion Sanders Jr., called out former New York Jets scout Daniel Kelly on X. This was for Kelly's constant scathing remarks about the Buffs quarterback's NFL draft stock. Sanders Jr. also posted screenshots of Kelly's remarks.

"This is why you gotta stay prayed up! There’s people like @firstroundmock (Former NFL Scout) out here in the world trying to ruin everything that you’ve worked for!" Deion Sanders Jr. posted.
In his weekly "Big Board" column, ESPN draft expert Matt Miller tabbed Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter to be the 2025 NFL Draft's No. 1 and 2 picks.
Shedeur Sanders to Raiders catches fire
During an event in Las Vegas on Friday, charismatic Colorado coach Deion Sanders shared the stage with Las Vegas Raiders coach Antonio Pierce and pointedly asked him to draft his sons.
"You (Pierce) are truly the best," Deion Sanders said. "Now I just need you to do one thing: I need you to draft those Sanders boys."
During Thursday's segment of "Gojo and Golic," Yahoo Sports analyst Jason Fitz revealed that Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis is intent on making Shedeur Sanders his quarterback.
"In a normal world, I think both of those quarterbacks ( Sanders and Cam Ward) would be mid-late first-round prospects," Fitz said. ... "Mark Davis is going to make Shedeur Sanders his quarterback, so that's their opportunity. That's what the Raiders do.
"When you're in the same division as Bo Nix and Sean Payton and then, Harbaugh and Herbert, and obviously, Mahomes and Andy Reid, I do think your quarterback evaluation might need to change a little bit. The one thing you need to focus on is who has that upside. You don't need a quarterback. You need somebody who will turn into a Mahomes beater."
Deion Sanders' very public plea to Antonio Pierce has seemingly confirmed the speculation around the Raiders pinpointing Shedeur as their top pick. It seems only a matter of time before Mark Davis gets the quarterback that he wants in the draft.
