UCLA vs Penn State injury report
UCLA injury report
UCLA has two players on the injury report, including quarterback Ethan Garbers.
Ethan Garbers, QB
The biggest name here is quarterback Ethan Garbers, who suffered an injury against Oregon and his status for UCLA's Week 6 game against Penn State is up in the air.
Although UCLA hasn't announced if Garbers is playing on Saturday, Penn State says they are treating it as if the QB is playing.
“We’re just treating it like he’s going to play. We can’t really know who’s going to play and whatnot, but we’re just practicing like we normally do each week, whether we know who the quarterback is or not. We’re just treating it as No. 4 (Garbers) is playing right now, stopping the run game first like always,” linebacker Tony Rojas said, via TribLive.
“And then once they’ve respected the run (defense), they’re gonna have to start passing, and we know we have the best pass rushers. So whoever is the quarterback, that’s just what it is, and we’re going to continue to practice how we are.”
This season, Garbers has gone 67-for-117 for 808 yards, three touchdowns, and six interceptions.
Titus Mokiao-Atimalala, WR
UCLA wide receiver Titus Mokiao-Atimalala will be out of the lineup against Penn State, which is his third straight game he will miss. The receiver has four receptions for 43 yards this season.
Penn State injury report
Penn State has three players on the injury report, but all are expected to play.
Dominic DeLuca, LB
Penn State linebacker Dominic DeLuca suffered an injury against Kent State but all signs point to him being back in the lineup after missing one game.
This season, DeLuca has recorded six tackles.
Sal Wormley, OL
Sal Wormley is expected to dress on Saturday after dealing with an undisclosed injury. Wormley is the Nittany Lions starting right guard.
Jalen Kimber, DB
Jalen Kimber suffered a minor injury last week but the Nittany Lions defensive back is expected to be back in the lineup against UCLA. Kimber has recorded eight tackles and a pass defense in his first season at Penn State after transferring from Florida.
