Bill Belichick made a big move when the six-time Super Bowl-winning coach took over as the coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels. However, the structure of his contract and NFL reports are making people question his future.

While appearing as a guest on "The Pat McAfee Show," North Carolina Tar Heels general manager Michael Lombardi cleared up rumors about Belichick wanting to jump back to the NFL.

"Completely committed, 1000% committed. I know for Coach Belichick and myself, those conversations - guys who do the insider stuff for the NFL gotta put stories out there, but that one was a complete falsehood.
"Coach Belichick, when that story came out, was recruiting South Jersey. Today, he was at Bergen Catholic ... That story had no legs."

The report originally came from NFL insider Tom Pelisero who reported that multiple NFL teams inquired about Bill Belichick reconsidering his move to UNC. As per this report, one of the teams was the Las Vegas Raiders.

There, of course, is a connection as Tom Brady is one of the minority owners of the franchise and has spoken to Belichick. However, Lombardi said they had discussions regarding a lot of things but ultimately the legendary coach is committed to North Carolina.

"Bill Belichick committed to North Carolina. He committed it to me, he committed it to the universiy. There's been no conversation about anything."

The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the teams that have a vacancy at their coaching spot as they fired Antonio Pierce after one season of him being the full-time coach.

It was reported on Thursday afternoon that the Raiders also fired general manager Tom Telesco, so changes are coming one way or another. However, it appears it will be without Bill Belichick.
