Biff Poggi is undoubtedly one of the coolest coaches in college football. He's unique in the landscape for his fashion sense, which is noticeable on the sideline on game days. This has caught the attention of college football fans since taking over Charlotte in 2023.

Poggi coached high school football for more than four decades and achieved legendary status. He was known for his outfits at Gilman School (Maryland) and Saint Frances Academy (Maryland) and carried it over to college football.

Biff Poggi once again rocked another unique outfit during Charlotte’s Week 4 game against Indiana on Saturday. While the 49ers suffered a blowout loss to the Hoosiers in Bloomington, fans shared their thoughts about his attire. Here's a look at some of the reactions online:

Other reactions to Poggi's outfit:

"Biff looks like at least 20 different dads at any water park on a Summer Saturday," a fan wrote.
"Biff! Come help Sheronne. Come back home for a lil bit," another fan wrote.
"As a Charlotte alumni I absolutely love the guy…but at some point he’s gotta start producing on the field. Squeaking out a win at home against Gardner Webb by 1 ain’t gonna cut it," another fan wrote.

Biff Poggi explains the difference between the Big Ten and the SEC

Ahead of Charlotte’s Week 4 game against Indiana, Biff Poggi talked about the differences between competing in the Big Ten and the SEC. He’s been an observer of both conferences for several years and possesses a good knowledge of the game.

“In my opinion, as far as the run game and stopping the run game, [the Big Ten] is unique,” Poggi said on Tuesday. “The SEC is probably the best conference as far as skill guys and things like that, but the fronts in the Big Ten, you have to build your team that way.”

Having served as an assistant at Michigan on two occasions under Jim Harbaugh, Poggi has a good insight into the Big Ten-SEC discussion. He's faced teams from both conferences since he arrived at Charlotte and he will have more nonconference games against them.

Biff Poggi praises his quarterback ahead of Indiana

Charlotte had to turn to third-string quarterback Trexler Ivey to secure a win against Gardner-Webb in Week 3. The walk-on signal caller came in following the injury to Deshawn Purdie and helped the 49ers overturn a 20-7 deficit to secure a 27-26 victory.

“He’s tough,” Poggi said of Ivey. “He’s tough mentally, tough emotionally. He makes the right decisions, and our team has a tremendous amount of confidence in him and so do the coaches. I’m really happy for him. You never want to see guys get hurt obviously, but really happy for Trexler.”

Ivey started the Week 4 game against Indiana on Saturday which marked his first start for the program. He completed 14-of-23 passes for 119 yards and one touchdown.
