Colorado Buffaloes star and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter's relationship with Leanna Lenee is seemingly entering a difficult phase after viral videos of her dancing with another man have been seen by college football fans. The video, and the actions of Lenee toward Hunter at the Heisman Trophy presentation, caused fans to criticize the two.

However, on X on Monday, MMA fighter Claressa Shields went off on those who have criticized Travis on social media:

"This why I go off on y’all and hurt yall feelings! Why tf are you y’all trolling TRAVIS HUNTER for! Leave him tf alone! If he love the girl let him love her! Always in other mfs business! He too nice to yall ass! Mind yall MF’N business! Done made him deactivate his damn Instagram! I hate anybody who said something to him! Everybody not cut for that sh*t! Go accomplish something instead of being mean to athletes and celebrities! Stg I wanna break yall damn fingers !"

The post is in response to how social media users have been treating Hunter since the video dropped. The reactions to Lenee's actions can be seen in the comments sections for anything relating to the Colorado Buffaloes at the moment. Many reactions not only express concern for Hunter but also advise that after what she has done, he should leave his fiancée.

The backlash has been so bad that Hunter has disabled his popular Instagram account.

Shedeur Sanders supports Travis Hunter

Claressa Shields is not the only person who has spoken against those criticizing Travis Hunter. His Colorado teammate, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, has also given his opinion in an X post:

"All y'all athletes, entertainers, artist etc. if y'all genuine trying to holla at Trav y'all know how to get in touch with him or someone around. At this point y'all just posting for the algorithm trying to look cool."

The pair are likely to play in the Alamo Bowl as Colorado (9-3) faces the 17th-ranked BYU Cougars (10-2) on Saturday.
