Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe announced on Thursday that he will enter the 2025 NFL Draft. On Tuesday, the Michigan Wolverines defeated the Crimson Tide, 19-13, in the ReliaQuest Bowl. Milroe has chosen not to return for his senior year.

On Thursday, he posted a thank-you message to the Alabama fanbase and an official declaration for the NFL Draft on Instagram.

"Football has always been my passion, and since I was a kid, I dreamed of competing at the highest level. Through every win, every tough loss, and any criticism along the way, my love and dedication to this game has never wavered. Each day, my gratitude for the opportunity to play this sport I love only grows stronger. With that said, I am declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft. Roll Tide forever!," Milroe said.

Fans have reacted to his announcement from On3 via X/Twitter, with one fan believing it was time for him to part ways with Alabama.

"Was best for both sides to move on," a fan wrote.
"THANK GOD! He has all the things you want in a QB as far as character, but sh*t, he is the most frustrating QB I have ever watched. He can be the best player in football and the worst player in football depending on what day it is. Good Luck to him, but I am looking forward to the next era," a fan commented.
"Teams are desperate for quarterbacks, not sure where he is really gonna fall even with desperation shrug emoji," another fan wrote.
"Idk about this one young man, but I respect it. I want him to be good! Good luck Milroe," a fan replied.
"4th to 5th round guy. Should've stayed one more year but I do see a lot of potential. Huge project guy though," a fifth fan wrote.
"Decent three year run at Alabama. Seemed to tail off this season though," another fan commented.

Jalen Milroe's final year with Alabama Crimson Tide

Milroe finished the season with 205 completed passes for 2,844 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also won the 2024 William V. Campbell Trophy.

In his final college game, he struggled to get Alabama's (9-4, 5-3 Southeastern Conference) offense going against Michigan's (8-5, 5-4 Big Ten) defense. He completed 16 of 32 passes for 192 yards, one touchdown, one interception and two fumbles.

The former Alabama star player will enter a stacked draft class with other talented quarterbacks, including Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders.
