The No. 15 Alabama Crimson Tide (5-2, 2-2 SEC) is set to take on the No. 21 Missouri Tigers (6-1, 2-1) in Week 9.

It will be a home game for "The Tide" as they hope to get a win at Bryant-Denny Stadium in front of their fans. Ahead of the SEC matchup, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe was seen praying before stepping on the field for his warmup.

AL.com's X account took the video before kickoff. Milroe can be seen greeting another player before taking a few seconds to pray alone.

Milroe comes into Week 9 hoping to lead his team to its sixth win of the season. Last Saturday, the Crimson Tide suffered a 24-17 loss to No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers (6-1, 3-1).

The Alabama quarterback ended the game by completing 25 of 45 passes, throwing for 239 yards and scoring one passing touchdown. However, he would have two interceptions that resulted in the Volunteers winning.

Milroe will try to rebound from his last performance and shut down criticism that he may not be the right quarterback for program.

Jalen Milroe faces criticism from former Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron

Former Crimson Tide quarterback AJ McCarron recently appeared on the McCready & Siskey podcast to discuss the state of the team and his opinion on Milroe.

McCarron shared that he talked about the Alabama star in the past for TNT and explained on the network that he thinks Milroe is a great player, but not the pocket passer he is trying to be for the team.

"His biggest positive is also his biggest negative," McCarron said. "They had a list of quarterbacks (TNT). Out of that list of quarterbacks that they showed, nobody on that list can run like Jalen can. But his biggest negative is that he doesn't use his feet enough."

The entire team is also facing criticism over the culture shift the program is undergoing after Nick Saban retired earlier this year. Milroe and the rest of the Crimson Tide will hope to change the narrative and prove themselves against the Tigers.

Jalen Milroe's season heading into Week 9

Although fans have been critical of the team, Milroe has helped lead his guys to five wins this season. The Crimson Tide may not be as impressive as last year, but they are still in the hunt to compete in the playoffs with the Alabama star as the starting quarterback.

So far, Milroe has thrown for 1,722 yards and 13 passing touchdowns. He also has 11 rushing touchdowns, continuing to show he can be a threat on the run.

Now, Milroe can help his team finish strong and dispel concerns about the team's future without Saban.
