Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders responded to comments from Colorado State Rams coach Jay Norvell's wife, Kim, who aimed at Sanders' son, Shedeur, in December. The remarks were regarding an incident that occurred when the Buffaloes defeated the Rams 43-35 in double overtime on Sept. 16.

Season 2, Episode 3 of "Coach Prime," showed postgame snippets that caught Kim's attention, and she said on Dec. 13 in a now-deleted tweet:

"Shadeur acted like a B when Jay turned his back after trying to talk to his dad, and held up his watch."

Ahead of Colorado's game against Colorado State on Saturday, Deion Sanders responded to a reporter's question about the derogatory comments made by Norvell's family:

"Well, I had the honor and the pleasure at the Big 12 meetings to meet his wife. She is delightful. I'm not looking for an apology, I just met her, she was delightful. I don't judge people on what they say when they are emotional. I can't do that.
"My heart ain't built like that. But when you show me who you are, I have to believe you. I just met his wife, and she was delightful."

Colorado's Deion Sanders believes he has the right guys on his staff

The Colorado Buffaloes are off to a 1-1 start and are coming off a 28-10 loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers on the road in Week 2 on Saturday.

The Buffaloes will now travel to take on Colorado State on Saturday night. Heading into the matchup, some analysts have criticized Colorado's coaching, but Deion Sanders said:

"I feel like we got the right guys. You may see us shake something up a little bit. Phil Loadholt is a wonderful offensive line coach. [Offensive coordinator] Pat [Shurmur] does a tremendous job in calling plays as he did in the first game [against North Dakota State].
"So, you just can't take a snapshot of one game and not understand the first game. What, we have over 500 yards of offense? I ain't hear all these questions, but I understand it comes with the territory." [H/T ESPN]

Colorado is a seven-point favorite to defeat Colorado State in Week 3.
