Colorado's Travis Hunter and his fiancée, Leanna Lenee, melted hearts on TikTok by sharing a fun and adorable dance video. The couple donned furry animal onesies, swapping their usual athletic gear for playful costumes of a bear and a buffalo.
Hunter, who plays on offense and defense, posted the video on Instagram, where coach Deion Sanders couldn't resist making a witty remark.
“I’m getting y’all Tested Tomorrow!” Sanders wrote.
The video perfectly captures the couple's infectious energy and strong bond. Corey Phillips, director of player personnel for the Buffaloes, chimed in too, saying:
“This will be his 1st TD celly for the season.”
Last year, Hunter took home the Paul Hornung Award for his standout performances, despite Colorado's tough season. With Coach Prime leading the team, expectations are high for Hunter in the 2024 season.
Nonetheless, this playful TikTok moment has only endeared Hunter and Lenee to their fans even more.
Travis Hunter's place in the 2024 Top 100 list
Travis Hunter has made a major leap in the 2024 College Football Top 100 list, landing at No. 3. This is a significant jump from his No. 35 spot in 2023 as one of the top talents. Known for his versatility, Hunter shines on both offense and defense for Colorado.
In the latest 2025 NFL mock draft by The 33rd Team, Hunter is projected to go No. 2 to New England, emphasizing his status as a top prospect. Last season, despite missing three games due to injury, he still managed to secure 57 receptions for 721 yards and five touchdowns.
On defense, he tied for the most interceptions on the team with three, led in pass breakups with five and recorded 31 total tackles. Hunter's ability to excel on both sides of the ball is rare, making him an interesting player to watch.
As he continues to play over 100 snaps in multiple games, Hunter faces a big decision: whether to enter the NFL as a receiver or a cornerback. With the 2025 NFL draft shaping up to be strong in defense, especially at the cornerback position, Hunter's choice will be closely followed.
Colorado kicks off its season against North Dakota State on Thursday, Aug. 29, with Travis Hunter leading the charge.
