Travis Hunter and Deion Sanders enjoyed a day outside during the college football offseason, engaging in one of their favorite hobby - FISHING. The Colorado Buffaloes head coach and Hunter – a potential Heisman winner – are avid fishing enthusiasts.

Hunter reshared an Instagram story posted by Coach Prime, capturing the start of their fishing adventure. He captioned the story:

“OWE 😏”

The 21-year-old wide receiver had recently gifted Coach Prime two premium fishing rods. In a video uploaded on his son Bucky’s YouTube channel – ‘Well Off Media’, Hunter presented the rods to Sanders in the cafeteria. Coach Prime thanked Hunter, saying:

"Thank you, Sir."

The bond between Sanders and Hunter goes beyond the football field.

"I ain't going to have to tell it. I'm sure one thing but his stuff it ain't cheap. None of his stuff is cheap," Sanders stated. [02:00]

The Colorado WR is emerging as an electrifying candidate for the Heisman Trophy, apart from the usual suspects. The latter includes Quinn Ewers, Jalen Milroe and Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders.

Experts Andy Staples and Jesse Simonton believe Hunter's bid for the Heisman is very strong. Staples highlighted:

"Travis Hunter is one of the most interesting players we’ve had in college football in a long, long time, the first true two-way star in years."
Simonton added, "If Hunter produces a superstar season as both a wide receiver and corner, and Colorado exceeds expectations, he could be the exact type of outlier candidate who emerges as a popular dark horse."

A unique two-way star, Hunter dazzled both as a cornerback and wide receiver last year. His versatility and adaptive skillset have made him a key player for Coach Deion Sanders. In his debut season with the Buffaloes, Hunter's impact was unparalleled.

He racked up 57 catches and five touchdowns as a wide receiver, while also snagging three interceptions and breaking up five passes on defense. As the Buffs get ready for their reunion in the Big 12 conference, expectations are sky-high for Hunter to continue his stellar show on the field.
