Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe is approaching what will be a very important season for him and the team, their first without long-time head coach Nick Saban. However, in the build-up to this season, Milroe has taken some time out of his preparations to spend with a former basketball player.
The player in question is Jay Williams, who has a net worth of $4 million (per Celebritynetworth). Jalen Milroe posted an image of him and the former Duke Blue Devil point guard sharing a moment of laughter on his Instagram.
There was a reason why the Alabama quarterback met with the basketball player in New York City.
Jay Williams is the co-founder (alongside Milwaukee Bucks player Giannis Antetokounmpo) of Improbable Media, and the company has signed Jalen Milroe as one of their clients.
The collaboration between Improbable Media and Milroe will focus on the journey that Milroe will be on in this season, and during his professional career.
Speaking to the media on his decision to enter a partnership with the company, Milroe said (per Variety):
"Joining the Improbable Media family is a game changer for me. Being a college athlete in this new world of NIL brings more opportunity but also challenges, so it’s important to have the right team around me. I’m looking forward to learning, growing, and expanding my own brand with Improbable."
Jay Williams also spoke about his wishes for the partnership between his company and Milroe.
"All of us at Improbable are energized by the opportunity to closely collaborate with Jalen and so impressed with how he goes about his business," said Williams (per Variety).
Jalen Milroe shares the best piece of advice that Nick Saban gave him
Under Saban, Milroe was able to develop into a strong quarterback who is unfazed at leading a program as big as Alabama.
On Thursday's edition of ESPN's "Get Up," Milroe spoke about the best piece of advice that Nick Saban gave him during his time at Alabama.
"If I was to choose one, I’d say trust the process."
For Milroe, the process has involved him going from backup quarterback to the starting quarterback and leading the team in the College Football Playoffs.
Now, in what will be his final season in college football, Jalen Milroe will want to complete this process and win the national championship with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
