Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer has been busy building and preparing his team for the upcoming season. DeBoer replaced long-time head coach Nick Saban and will want to be successful in his first year with the historic program.

But Kalen DeBoer is not just thinking about this season. He has been slowly getting recruits for future Crimson Tide teams and recently gained another.

On Saturday, offensive tackle Micah DeBose announced that he would commit to the Alabama Crimson Tide and form part of the 2025 roster. A video of his announcement was posted on social media, and Kalen DeBoer (present at the ceremony) could be seen celebrating after the announcement before meeting with the player.

According to 247Sports, Micah DeBose is a four-star offensive tackle from the state of Alabama. He has been a key part of his high school offensive line. Many analysts have said that DeBose could easily fit into a strong college football program like Alabama, which will allow him to develop into an NFL standard player.

DeBose also had offers from the LSU Tigers and the Ohio State Buckeyes but decided to commit to the Crimson Tide during his official visit to Tuscaloosa this weekend.

One of the reasons why DeBose chose Alabama over the other schools could have been his strong relationship with Chris Kapilovic, the Crimson Tide's offensive line coach.

DeBose praised the coach while speaking to 247Sports earlier this month, saying:

"He's [Kapilovic] a really great guy, really great guy. He talks to me about some of the guys he put in the league, but he doesn't brag on it. He tells me that he can take me where I want to go. With some of the schools he has been at, the guys he has put in the league, he's done more with less."

Kalen DeBoer's offensive line recruitment

Marcus DeBose joins what already looked like a strong recruitment class for Kalen DeBoer. So far, 18 players have committed to the program, and DeBose joins what is shaping up to be a strong group of offensive linemen. These include four-star-rated OT Jackson Lloyd, interior lineman Michael Carroll and three-star-rated OT Mal Waldrep.

These players will work alongside current stars Tyler Booker and Jaeden Roberts in what has been described as college football's best offensive line to develop players who can take the NFL by storm.
