Lamborghini Austin picks Isaiah Bond and Michael Taaffe

Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond and defensive back Michael Taaffe have landed a new NIL deal. Lamborghini Austin made the announcement on Thursday that the two players have been selected as the dealership's NIL partners for the 2024 college football season.

The dealership is known for its partnerships with Longhorn standout athletes since the start of the NIL era. It selected Bond and Taaffe for the promotional agreement due to their strong academic performance, leadership role in the community and on-field success.

“The Lamborghini Austin Promotional Partner Program rewards student-athletes for success in the classroom, contributions to their community and performance in sports,” Bruce Knox, managing partner of Lamborghini Austin, said in a release.
“Our committee selected two outstanding student-athletes who took a unique path on their University of Texas journey, who achieved success in the classroom as well as on the field, and who will join forces to lead the Longhorns in their first year of competition in the SEC.”

Texas transfer already paying off for Isaiah Bond

Isaiah Bond transferred to Texas this offseason after two seasons at Alabama. The wide receiver was one of the many players who left Tuscaloosa following the exit of Nick Saban.

With the new NIL deal with Lamborghini Austin, the move to Texas has begun to pay off for Isaiah Bond. The wide receiver made it known in January that he transferred to the Longhorns to improve his draft stock and earning some money alongside, which is a huge advantage.

"Just like the business world, you make the best decision for your company," Bond told ESPN in a phone interview. "My company right now is my draft stock. I feel like I'm putting myself in position to increase that and have better draft stock."
"I like the whole package that comes with it. Great quarterback, they have a great offensive line. I felt like it was a great spot for me to come to."

Isaiah Bond has an NIL value of $643,000, according to On3. He's ranked No. 75 on the On3 NIL 100, which lists the top 100 student-athletes with the biggest NIL valuation. The new deal with Lamborghini Austin will further enhance his NIL value.

As the 2024 college football season draws closer, Isaiah Bond is projected to be one of the players to make the most impact on the team. The Longhorns play in the SEC in 2024, so his experience in the league will be vital to the team's adaptation.
